Ever since I was a child, I’ve always had a strong interest in art, and as I got older, I became very curious and interested in technology. The two interests eventually lead me into becoming a graphic designer. I eventually went to Baker College of Muskegon and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010 with a Bachelor in Graphic Communications and a minor in Web Design.
I currently work for Revel, a marketing agency in Muskegon, Michigan as an Art Director and Digital Media Coordinator. The majority of the work I do today involves developing the scope and brief for websites, designing and building websites from start to finish, as well as assisting with any digital marketing coordination (such as SEO, SEM, Display Advertising, and Social Media). I am also very experienced with print design and large format print design.
Though, my greatest passion is designing websites, and the more complex the website is, the better. I love a messy website to organize and improve. However, I understand a website is about more than how it looks. Websites are a businesses store front, their reputation, and their image. Content and user experience are ultimately what make a website successful.
In my spare time to unwind from the day, I love to read, cook, play video games (Animal Crossing, anyone?), watch horror movies or a good murder documentary, or go on a hike. At home, it’s just me and my two energetic kitties: Acheron (Ash for short) and Oliver.
